One more semester down, life keeps ticking along Dec2006

Sarah's upstairs putting Anna to bed. She's sleepy. Both of them. It's Sunday evening, and I just got back from a Christmas party at my mother's. Noone else had showed up yet, and the baby was on meltdown-warning, so we decided to call it quits.

As for me, school ended week before last with a couple of fairly difficult finals. I got an email from my prof and apparently I got A's in both classes. That's sweet.

With God's merciful help, next semester looks to be the last for my undergraduate degree. I guess when you start in '94, take a few years off to be married, live overseas, and start the whole "fill the earth with children" thing, taking 13 years to get a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics is acceptable.

To top it all off, I'm scheduled to take the GRE exam on Tuesday. I'm a little concerned and have been cramming, and plan to do another hour or two of studying tonight. On the practice tests, I score well enough to get into the Master's program in the summer or fall. We'll see how the real deal goes.

Work is work is work. My employer, IBM, recently purchased another security company Internet Security Systems. Because of this, there were some changes at work and I was "promoted" (this soooo isn't true but I can't think of a better word) to Team Lead of the Threat Team. It's been sort of interesting getting more involved in the day to day business side of things.

Oh, and one more thing - I'm typing this up on a 15" MacBook Pro. It's shiny. ;)

These thoughts are my own, unless they're yours. And if they're yours, we may have metaphysical problems beyond simple concept ownership and should probably talk soon.
